All a Dream

I recently went to the Raymond James national financial conference at Aria hotel in Las Vegas. This is my second year attending the annual event, and it was another one for the books. I always enjoy the cutting edge lectures from experts across the nation in various fields. A few years ago, this conference was one of the first times I ever heard about the benefits of spirulina and alternative medicine given by a fitness author-trepeneur! This inspiring speeches that stuck with me.

This year’s conference had an interesting lecture on dreaming. The speaker used dream therapy to help people confront their issues, move forward, and be overall more creative. She spoke of how Paul McCartney heard the melody for Yesterday in a dream a year before it became a hit, and how the inventor of the sewing machine was being chased by needles in a nightmare!

I have been paying more attention to my dreams because of this lecture. Like most people, I dream in color. Often my dreams are odd and co-star people from my every day life. Last night I had a dream where I was in a theater watching an animated movie…it inspired this poem below. I write every day and am not sure what to do with all my poetry. If you have any ideas please let me know. I would love to share more. With love, Nat.

Heaven Sent

Castles falling from the sky

to underwater mountains.

Strung together, you and I

The Lovers, gods and titans.

Tomorrow’s hard rains ‘gon fall

Fertilizing green gardens.

Everything’s good and evil

to humans building houses.

Heaven sent me to find you

Before mister devil do.
